Ed Reed is a former American football safety who is widely regarded as one of the best at the position in the history of the game. He attended the University of Miami, where he was a standout player and won a national championship in 2001. After being drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2002, Reed quickly made a name for himself as a dominant force on defense, earning nine Pro Bowl selections and five First-Team All-Pro honors over the course of his career. Reed's ability to read the game and make critical interceptions quickly made him a fan favorite and a key contributor to the Ravens' success. He helped lead the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2013, intercepting two passes during the postseason and making a game-changing play in the championship game. Reed also set a number of records during his career, including the most interception-return yards in NFL history and the longest interception return for a touchdown in Super Bowl history.
