James Farrior Autograph

James Farrior is a former American football inside linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons. He was born on January 6, 1975, in Ettrick, Virginia, and started his football journey at Matoaca High School. Farrior played college football for the University of Virginia, where he was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American in 1996. Farrior played for the Jets from 1997 to 2001, where he established himself as one of the league's top inside linebackers. In 2002, Farrior signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he played the remainder of his NFL career for the Steelers. He helped lead the Steelers to two Super Bowl wins in 2005 and 2008, and he was named to the Pro Bowl twice, in 2004 and 2008. Farrior was known for his excellent tackling ability, versatility, and leadership on and off the field.

Farrior announced his retirement from the NFL in 2012, and his legacy as one of the greatest linebackers of his era lives on. He was a crucial part of the legendary Pittsburgh Steelers defense known as the "Steel Curtain," and his discipline, hard work, and dedication to the game set a high standard for players in the NFL.
