Al Harris is a retired American football player who was born on December 7, 1974, in Pompano Beach, Florida. Harris attended Ely High School in Pompano Beach, where he started his football career as a cornerback before moving to safety in his senior year. He went on to play college football at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where he became an All-American cornerback in his junior and senior years. Harris played for several NFL teams during his career, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, St. Louis Rams, and the Detroit Lions. However, it was his time with the Packers that cemented his legacy as one of the best cornerbacks of his era. Harris spent seven seasons with the Packers and was instrumental in helping the team reach the Super Bowl in 2010. He was also known for his clutch performances, including a game-winning interception return for a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in the 2003 playoffs.
