Alek Manoah Autographs
Alek Manoah is a professional baseball player who plays for the Toronto Blue Jays. He was born on January 9th, 1998, in Miami, Florida. He attended South Dade Senior High School in Homestead, Florida, and later went on to attend West Virginia University, where he played college baseball. In 2019, Manoah was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round, 11th overall.
Manoah made his professional debut with the Blue Jays in 2019, pitching for the Vancouver Canadians of the Class A Short Season Northwest League. He made eight starts for the Canadians, managing an ERA of 2.65 and striking out 27 batters in 17 innings. The following year, in 2020, Manoah was included in the Blue Jays' player pool for the regular season after the COVID-19 pandemic shortened the season. In the same year, he was named to the Western Division All-Star Team of the Arizona Fall League.
In 2021, Manoah was promoted to the major leagues for the first time, making his MLB debut on May 27th against the New York Yankees. He pitched for six innings, conceding just two hits and striking out seven batters. Manoah went on to make 18 appearances in his rookie season, managing an ERA of 3.22 and striking out 130 batters in 108 innings. His strong performances earned him the American League Rookie of the Month Award for August 2021.
