Feller's career in the MLB began in 1936 when he signed with the Cleveland Indians at the tender age of 17. He quickly established himself as a star pitcher, winning 24 games in his second season and leading the league in strikeouts for seven consecutive years from 1938 until 1944. Feller served in the U.S. Navy during World War II but returned to baseball in 1945, resuming his domination on the mound. He was the first pitcher to throw three no-hitters in a career and set numerous other records during his illustrious career, including pitching 12 one-hitters, 44 shutouts, and striking out 2,581 batters in total.

Feller was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962, cementing his status as one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history. After retiring from baseball, Feller worked as a businessman and continued to be involved in the sport as a commentator and coach. He passed away on December 15, 2010, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire future generations of baseball players. Read even more about Bob Feller at Wikipedia
