Brandon League is a retired American professional baseball player who spent over a decade playing in the major leagues. League was born on March 16, 1983, in Sacramento, California. He attended St. Louis High School in Hawaii and was a star athlete, excelling in both football and baseball. League's professional baseball career began in 2001 when he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. He spent several seasons working his way up through their minor league system before making his MLB debut in 2004. League played for the Blue Jays until 2009 before being traded to the Seattle Mariners. He had his best season in 2011 when he recorded 37 saves for the Mariners and was named an All-Star.
