Webb made his major league debut on April 22, 2003, playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was initially used as a reliever and setup man. However, in 2004, he started as a pitcher, and he made a significant impact by helping the Diamondbacks win their division. He continued to have a successful career, winning National League Cy Young Award in 2006, and becoming a three-time All-Star. Webb is also known for his sinker ball, which he used to great effect during his career.

Unfortunately, injuries hampered Brandon Webb's career, and he retired from baseball in 2013. His final game was on Opening Day, in 2009, after which he had multiple surgeries to correct his shoulder issues. Despite having an injury-shortened career, Webb's success on the field earned him a reputation as one of the best pitchers of his generation. He finished his career with a 3.27 earned run average (ERA) and a 87-62 win-loss record. In 2019, Webb was inducted into the Kentucky High School Athletic Association's Hall of Fame, recognizing his contributions to baseball in Kentucky. Read even more about Brandon Webb at Wikipedia
