Brian McRae Autographs
Brian McRae is a former professional baseball player who was drafted in 1985 by the Kansas City Royals in the first round. McRae started his pro career in 1987 playing as an outfielder for the Memphis Chicks, Kansas City's minor league affiliate. In 1989, he made his debut with the Royals and played with them consistently for four seasons.
McRae was known for his stellar defense in center field and his base-stealing abilities. He was key in leading the Royals to the American League Championship Series in 1995, where they eventually lost to the Cleveland Indians. McRae was traded to the Chicago Cubs in 1995, where he played until 1997. In his first season with the Cubs, they made it to the National League Division Series, however, were swept by the Atlanta Braves.
McRae ended his 10-year MLB career in 1999 with the Toronto Blue Jays. Throughout his career, he had a batting average of .261, 103 home runs, and an impressive 312 stolen bases. After retiring from playing, McRae became a baseball broadcaster and commentator for Fox Sports Midwest and the Kansas City Royals. He is also very involved in charity work, supporting multiple organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
