Carlos Gomez is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic. He was born on December 4, 1985, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Carlos was drafted by the New York Mets in the 16th round of the 2002 MLB June Amateur Draft. He then spent several years in the minor leagues, working his way up the ranks until he made his major league debut in 2007. Gomez made a name for himself as a fierce outfielder during his time in Minnesota from 2008-2009. He won his first Gold Glove award in 2013 while playing for the Milwaukee Brewers.
