Carlos May, born on May 17th, 1948, is a former Major League Baseball player who played nine seasons in the majors for the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees. May began his professional baseball career with the White Sox in 1968, where he would spend the next seven seasons. In 1976, May was traded to the New York Yankees, where he played his final two seasons. While with the Yankees, May served primarily as a designated hitter and pinch-hitter. Despite limited playing time, May still managed to put up respectable numbers, hitting .312 in 1977 with a .753 OPS. After his two seasons with the Yankees, May retired from baseball at the age of 30.

Throughout his career, Carlos May was a solid hitter and versatile fielder, playing multiple positions throughout his time in the majors. He finished his career with a .274 batting average, 90 home runs, and 438 RBIs. Despite his relatively short career, May was a two-time All-Star and a valuable member of both the White Sox and Yankees organizations.
