Casey Mize Autographs
Casey Mize is an American professional baseball player, born on May 1, 1997, in Springville, Alabama. He grew up playing baseball from a young age and had a successful high school career at Springville High School. Mize was a highly recruited player, and he committed to play collegiate baseball at Auburn University.
At Auburn, Mize continued to show his skills as a pitcher, becoming the ace of the team. In 2017, he posted a 2.04 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 83.2 innings pitched, earning him the Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Year award. Mize was then selected first overall by the Detroit Tigers in the 2018 MLB draft, making him the first player in Auburn history to be selected first overall.
Since joining the Tigers organization, Mize has continued to impress. In his minor league debut in 2018, he threw a no-hitter, the first in the minor leagues that season. He progressed through the minors quickly and made his MLB debut on August 19, 2020, against the Chicago White Sox. Mize finished his rookie season with a 6.99 ERA in 28.1 innings pitched, but he showed glimpses of his potential and has become a key part of the Tigers rotation. Mize's future in baseball is bright, and many expect him to become one of the premier pitchers in the league.
