Lee made his debut with the Cleveland Indians in 2002, where he played until 2009. During these years, he established himself as one of the best pitchers in the league by leading the Indians to the AL Championship Series in 2007 and earning his first All-Star selection in 2008. Lee won the AL Cy Young Award in 2008, becoming the first Indians player to win the award since Gaylord Perry in 1972. In 2009, Lee was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, where he played a significant role in taking them to the 2009 World Series.

After a brief stint with the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers, Lee returned to the Phillies in 2011. However, his decline started, and he was plagued with injuries in the following years, leading to his eventual retirement in 2015. Despite his abrupt retirement, Cliff Lee remains a respected figure in baseball, and his accomplishments on the field will always be remembered. Today, he lives with his family in Arkansas, where he continues to stay connected to the sport by coaching Little League teams in his hometown. Read even more about Cliff Lee at Wikipedia
