Dave Marshall was born on December 13, 1943, in Artesia, California. He is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues for seven seasons. Marshall began his career as an outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1967. He spent two seasons with the Dodgers before being traded to the Montreal Expos in 1969. During his career, Marshall was known for his speed and defense. He stole a career-high 25 bases for the Expos in 1972 and led the league in outfield assists in 1973. Marshall was also a reliable hitter, finishing his career with a .261 batting average and 36 home runs. His best season came in 1971 when he hit .293 with 11 home runs and 60 RBIs for the Expos.

After retiring from baseball, Marshall went on to work in the construction industry. He was inducted into the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. Marshall's legacy as a skilled outfielder and consistent hitter has secured his place in baseball history, and he remains a beloved figure among fans of the Expos and Padres.
