After leaving the Red Sox in 2008, Lowe played for several other teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers. He retired in 2013 with a record of 176-157 and a 4.03 ERA. Lowe was known for his sinkerball, which he threw with great accuracy and induced many ground balls.
