Derrek Lee

Derrek Lee was born on September 6, 1975, in Sacramento, California, and grew up in the city of El Dorado. He inherited his love for baseball from his father, Leon Lee, who also played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as an outfielder. Lee graduated from El Camino Fundamental High School in Sacramento in 1993 and was later drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 1993 MLB draft. Instead of signing with the Padres, Lee opted to attend college and played baseball for two seasons with the University of California, Berkeley. More about Derrek Lee
