Vosberg started his baseball career as a pitcher and played for several teams in the Major League. He played for the San Diego Padres from 1986 to 1990, the Seattle Mariners in 1991, the Florida Marlins from 1993 to 1995, the Texas Rangers in 1996, and the Montreal Expos in 1997. Vosberg also experienced playing on a championship team after being part of the Florida Marlins when they won the World Series in 1997.

Throughout his career, Vosberg amassed 938 strikeouts, 33 wins, and a 4.32 ERA across 619 innings pitched during his 10 years in the Major League. Despite being a relief pitcher, Vosberg was known for his accuracy, which allowed him to throw strikes with impeccable precision.
