Eric Valent is an American former baseball outfielder and first baseman who played for six seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on April 4, 1977, in La Mirada, California. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he played college baseball for the Bruins. In 1998, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the first round of the MLB draft, and he made his major league debut with the team in 2001. More about Eric Valent

In his MLB career, Valent had a .234 batting average, 22 home runs, and 72 RBI in 279 games. After his playing career, Valent served as a hitting coach in the minor leagues and worked as a baseball analyst for the SNY network.
