Francisco Lindor, also known as Mr. Smile, is a professional baseball shortstop for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on November 14, 1993, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Francisco signed with the Cleveland Indians in 2011 and made his MLB debut for them in 2015. He quickly became a fan favorite with his infectious smile and outstanding play on the field. Lindor has been an All-Star four times and has won two Gold Glove awards during his baseball career. In 2016, he was a key player for the Cleveland Indians as they reached the World Series. That year, he also won the Platinum Glove award as the best overall defensive player in the American League. During his time with the Indians, he was known for his flashy plays on the field and his positive energy in the clubhouse. In 2021, Lindor signed a 10-year, $341 million contract with the New York Mets, making him one of the highest-paid players in baseball history.

Off the field, Francisco is heavily involved in charitable work, especially supporting causes related to Puerto Rico. He started the Lindor Smile Squad in 2019, which is a non-profit organization that provides kids with opportunities to learn, play, and grow through various activities.
