Greg Gagne is a retired American baseball player who is best known for his 15-year career in the major leagues. Born on November 12, 1961, in Massachusetts, Gagne was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the fifth round of the 1979 MLB Draft. He began his professional career in the minors before making his major league debut with the Twins in 1983. Gagne was a key player on the Twins' championship team in 1987, where he hit .303 in the World Series and helped the team win their first title. He was also a two-time All-Star, in 1988 and 1991, and won a Gold Glove Award in 1986. Throughout his career, Gagne was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions, including shortstop, second base, and third base.

After leaving the Twins in 1992, Gagne played for the Kansas City Royals and the Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring in 1997. He finished his career with a .254 batting average, 111 home runs, and 604 RBIs. In addition to his successful playing career, Gagne has also worked as a coach and manager in various minor league organizations. He remains a beloved figure in Twins history and was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame in 2010.
