Huston Street is a retired American baseball player who played as a pitcher in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on August 2, 1983, in Austin, Texas. Street grew up in a baseball-loving family, with his father, James Street, having played football and baseball for the University of Texas. Street began his professional baseball career in 2004 when he was drafted by the Oakland Athletics. He impressed in his debut season, posting an earned run average (ERA) of 1.72 and earning the American League (AL) Rookie of the Year award. He spent four seasons with the Athletics before being traded to the Colorado Rockies before the 2009 season. Street spent three seasons with the Rockies before being traded again, this time to the San Diego Padres in 2012.
