Morris had a successful career, winning three World Series championships and being named an All-Star five times. He is perhaps best known for his performance in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series, when he pitched a 10-inning shutout to lead the Twins to victory. Morris also holds several impressive records, including the most wins of any pitcher in the 1980s, and the most wins by a pitcher in the 1990s.

Morris retired from baseball in 1994 with a career record of 254-186, 2,478 strikeouts, and a 3.90 ERA. He continued to work in baseball as a broadcaster and commentator, and in 2018 was finally elected to the Hall of Fame after years of being overlooked. Morris is remembered as one of the hardest-working and most competitive players of his era, with a fierce determination to win that made him a beloved figure among fans of the game.
