Jacob McGee Autographs
Jacob McGee is an American professional baseball pitcher, born on August 6, 1986, in San Jose, California. He attended Reed High School in Sparks, Nevada and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the fifth round of the 2004 MLB draft. He began his career as a starter but later transitioned to a relief pitcher, which proved to be a wise decision. McGee made his MLB debut with the Rays in 2010 and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with.
In his first full season with the Rays in 2011, McGee appeared in 69 games, striking out 73 batters in just 55 innings pitched. He maintained his success throughout his tenure with the Rays, finishing in the top ten in saves in the American League in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, he was traded to the Colorado Rockies, where he continued to be an effective reliever. In 2019, he signed a deal with the Washington Nationals and played a role in their World Series championship that year.
Throughout his career, McGee has been known for his impressive fastball and slider, which have helped him rack up strikeouts and keep hitters off balance. Despite a few injury setbacks throughout the years, McGee has proven himself to be a valuable asset to any team he plays for. Overall, his career highlights include being an All-Star in 2017, recording over 560 strikeouts, and helping the Nationals capture their first World Series title in franchise history.
