He played as a second baseman for the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball. Kipnis attended Glenbrook North High School and was a standout baseball player there. Kipnis made his MLB debut on July 22, 2011, as the starting second baseman for the Cleveland Indians.
