Jason Vargas is a former American professional baseball pitcher, who played in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on February 2, 1983, in Apple Valley, California, and attended Apple Valley High School. Vargas went on to play college baseball at Long Beach State. Throughout his career, Vargas played for several MLB teams, including the Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, New York Mets, and Philadelphia Phillies.
