Jeff Manto Autographs
Jeff Manto is a former professional baseball player who had a solid career in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a utility infielder and third baseman. He was born on August 23, 1964, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and attended Temple University, where he played baseball for the Owls. Manto was drafted by the California Angels in the 14th round of the 1982 MLB draft.
Manto made his MLB debut with the Cleveland Indians in 1990 and played for seven different teams over his 10-year career in the league. His best season came in 1995 when he hit a career-high 17 home runs, 44 RBIs, and posted a batting average of .277 with the Baltimore Orioles. Overall, Manto played in 431 games, had 73 home runs, 244 RBIs, and a .230 batting average in his career.
After his playing career, Manto transitioned into coaching and managing. He spent time in the minor leagues for several organizations before being named the hitting coach for the Chicago White Sox in 2012. Manto also had stints as the hitting coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies. Today, Manto is still involved in baseball, working as a hitting consultant and running his own baseball training facility in Pennsylvania.
