Chamberlain was drafted by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. He made his Major League debut with the Yankees in August 2007 and quickly became one of the team's most promising young pitchers. Chamberlain was primarily used as a relief pitcher in his rookie season and helped lead the Yankees to the playoffs, where they lost to the Cleveland Indians in the American League Division Series. He finished the season with a 2.25 earned run average and struck out 34 batters in 24 innings pitched.

Chamberlain spent seven seasons in the Major Leagues, playing for the Yankees, Detroit Tigers, and Kansas City Royals. While he was able to demonstrate his electric fastball and impressive breaking pitches, Chamberlain unfortunately also dealt with injuries and inconsistency that derailed his career. Nonetheless, he was a solid contributor to the teams he played for and was respected by both his teammates and opponents. Despite retiring from baseball, Chamberlain remains a beloved figure in the sport and a testament to the power of hard work and dedication. Read even more about Joba Chamberlain at Wikipedia
