Johnny Logan

Johnny Logan was a legendary baseball player, born on October 7, 1927, in Endicott, New York. He is best known for his 13-year career in the Major Leagues, primarily with the Milwaukee Braves, where he earned the nickname "Mr. Shortstop" for his superb defensive skills. Logan began his professional career in the Boston Braves organization, where he spent four seasons in the minors before making his major league debut in 1951. He quickly became a key player for the Braves, establishing himself as a standout shortstop and an excellent hitter. Logan was an integral part of the Braves' success in the late 1950s, earning All-Star honors in 1955, 1957, and 1958.

Despite his impressive numbers, Logan was never inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. However, his contributions to the game were recognized in other ways. In 1960, he won a Gold Glove award for his defensive prowess, and in 2002, he was inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame. Johnny Logan's legacy as a skilled shortstop and a vital member of the Milwaukee Braves continues to inspire young baseball players to this day.
