Bautista's rise to prominence began in 2010 when he won the Hank Aaron Award for the American League, becoming the first Blue Jays player to win the award and only the second player in the franchise's history to lead the majors in home runs. In 2011, he hit a record-breaking 54 home runs, which was the most by a Blue Jay player in a single season. He was also selected as a starting outfielder for the All-Star game in both 2010 and 2011.

Bautista played for several other teams including the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets, but he will always be remembered for his best years as a Blue Jay. He recorded 288 home runs while playing for Toronto, making him the team's all-time leader in home runs. He was also a two-time American League Hank Aaron Award winner, six-time All-Star, and three-time Silver Slugger Award winner. In 2017, he officially announced his retirement from professional baseball. Read even more about Jose Bautista at Wikipedia
