Jose Urena is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Detroit Tigers in Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on September 12, 1991, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Urena started his baseball career with the Miami Marlins organization in 2009, where he spent most of his time pitching for their minor league teams. During his time with the Marlins, Urena showed great potential, quickly becoming a valuable member of their starting rotation.
