Wood's most memorable game came on May 6, 1998, when he struck out 20 Houston Astros batters in just his fifth career start. This was a rookie record that still stands to this day. Wood's fastball reached 100 mph, and he had a devastating curveball that he used to keep batters guessing. Unfortunately, injuries plagued his career, and he was never quite able to pitch up to his full potential for a sustained period of time. Despite this, Wood continued to pitch for the Cubs and even helped them reach the playoffs in 2003.In total, we tracked 1990 items since 01/01/2008. The chart below shows the trade volume over time.
