Lou Marson is a retired professional baseball player who was born on June 26, 1986, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended Coronado High School in Scottsdale, where he played as a catcher on the school's baseball team. Later on, he decided to attend Chandler-Gilbert Community College, where he continued to showcase his talent in the sport. He was so impressive in college that he was drafted in the fourth round by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2004 MLB Draft.
Marson quickly rose through the ranks in professional baseball, beginning his career in minor league fanfare before ultimately debuting in the Major Leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008. He played as a catcher in the Phillies' farm system for several seasons before becoming a regular player in the major leagues in 2009. He played for the Phillies for four years before being traded to the Cleveland Indians in 2009. With the Indians, Marson remained a trusted catch adept at curbing the progress of runners and called for impressive pitches that made the team one of the best in Major League Baseball.
