Luis Tiant is a former professional baseball player who played as a pitcher for 19 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). Tiant was born on November 23, 1940, in Mariano, Havana, Cuba. He started playing baseball in his hometown and quickly gained attention from MLB scouts. He made his professional debut with the Cleveland Indians in 1964 and played for them till 1969.
