Mark DeRosa Autograph

Mark DeRosa was born on February 26, 1975, in Passaic, New Jersey, and grew up in Roswell, Georgia. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he played college baseball, and in 1996, he was drafted in the seventh round by the Atlanta Braves. DeRosa made his Major League debut with the Braves in 1998 and played for them until 2004. He then played for several teams, including the Texas Rangers, the Chicago Cubs, and the San Francisco Giants, before retiring in 2013 with the Toronto Blue Jays. More about Mark DeRosa

DeRosa was known as a versatile player who could play multiple positions, including third base, second base, and outfield. He was also known for his strong work ethic and leadership skills. During his career, DeRosa played in 1294 games and had a batting average of .268 with 100 home runs and 494 runs batted in. He was also a key player in the 2010 World Series, helping the San Francisco Giants win their first championship in 56 years.

Off the field, DeRosa has been involved in various charitable activities, including the Mark DeRosa Foundation, which supports education and healthcare initiatives for children. After retiring from baseball, DeRosa became a baseball analyst for MLB Network and NESN, providing commentary on games and analysis of players and teams.
