Mark Lewis is a former Major League Baseball player who played infielder for 11 seasons from 1991 to 2002. He was born on November 30, 1969, in Hamilton, Ohio, and attended Hamilton High School, where he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. Lewis was a standout shortstop for the Hamilton Big Blue, and his talent caught the attention of scouts, leading to his selection in the first round of the 1988 MLB draft by the Cleveland Indians. Lewis made his MLB debut with the Cleveland Indians on July 13, 1991, at the age of 21. As a rookie, he batted .250 with five homeruns and 29 RBI in 62 games. He became a regular starter in 1994 when he batted .278 with 14 homeruns and 79 RBI, leading the Indians to their first American League Championship Series appearance in 41 years. Lewis played for the Indians until 1997, when he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Reds for two seasons before joining the Detroit Tigers in 1999. Lewis later played for the San Francisco Giants, the Colorado Rockies, and the Pittsburgh Pirates before retiring in 2002.In total, we tracked 146 items since 01/01/2008.
