Markieff Morris is a professional basketball player from the United States who was born on September 2, 1989. He began his basketball career at the University of Kansas, where he played for three seasons. Morris' skills as a power forward were quickly recognized, and he was named the Big 12 Player of the Year in his junior year. In 2011, he was drafted as the 13th overall pick by the Phoenix Suns.
