During his short stint in the major leagues, LaPorta played for the Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Athletics. He quickly made a name for himself as a power hitter, known for his strength and precision. In his debut season in 2009, he hit seven home runs in just 52 games. He continued to impress the league with his powerful swing, leading the Indians in home runs in 2010 and earning a spot on the All-Star Futures Game in 2008 and 2009.

However, injuries and inconsistencies plagued LaPorta's career, and he was eventually released by the Athletics in 2014, bringing an end to his professional baseball career. Despite his short career, LaPorta left an indelible mark on the sport, as one of the most feared power hitters of his era. He finished his career with 31 home runs and 121 RBIs, and his contributions to the sport will long be remembered. Read even more about Matt LaPorta at Wikipedia
