Matt Olson is an American Major League Baseball first baseman, born on March 29, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia. Olson began playing baseball while in high school and played college baseball for the Auburn Tigers. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2012 and made his Major League Baseball debut in 2016. In 2017, Olson started his first full season with the Athletics and secured his place in the team by hitting a total of 24 home runs by the end of the season.
