Mike Lieberthal Autographs

Mike Lieberthal is a former American professional baseball catcher who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers over a successful 14-year career in Major League Baseball. Born on January 18, 1972, in Glendale, California, Lieberthal grew up playing baseball and excelled in the sport at Westlake High School, where he was named the Southern Section's co-Player of the Year in 1989. After graduating, he was drafted by the Phillies in the first round of the 1990 Major League Baseball draft and spent the next decade with the team, becoming one of the franchise's most beloved players.
Lieberthal made his major league debut in the 1994 season with the Phillies and quickly established himself as one of the most talented catchers in the game. He earned his first All-Star selection in 1999 and went on to earn two more in 2000 and 2002. He was also awarded the National League Gold Glove Award for his outstanding defensive skills in 1999 and led the league in caught stealing percentage in 1997, 2001, and 2002. Throughout his career, Lieberthal was known for his exceptional work behind the plate, which earned him the nickname "Lieby" from his teammates.
In 2007, Lieberthal signed with the Dodgers as a free agent, where he played for two seasons before announcing his retirement at the end of the 2008 season. In recognition of his significant contributions to the Phillies franchise, Lieberthal was inducted into the Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame in 2012. Today, he serves as a special assistant to the general manager for the Phillies and continues to work with the team's catchers during spring training. Lieberthal's remarkable career and lasting legacy have paved the way for future generations of baseball players and remain an inspiration to many aspiring athletes around the world.
