Mike McCormick was a prominent American baseball pitcher who played in the major leagues from 1956 to 1971. He was born on September 29, 1938, in Pasadena, California, and began his professional career in 1956 with the New York Giants. He quickly established himself as a reliable starter, and in 1960, he won the National League Cy Young Award after leading the league in wins and strikeouts.
