Miles Mikolas Autographs
Miles Mikolas is an American professional baseball pitcher who is currently playing for the St. Louis Cardinals in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on August 23, 1988, in Jupiter, Florida. Mikolas started playing baseball from a very young age, and his dedication and hard work paid off as he went on to have a successful career in the sport.
Mikolas attended Division III Nova Southeastern University, where he played college baseball for the Nova Southeastern Sharks. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft by the San Diego Padres. He made his professional debut for the Padres in 2012 but struggled in his rookie season. After spending a few years in the minor leagues, Mikolas was released by the Padres in 2014. He then went on to play in Japan for three seasons before returning to the MLB in 2018.
In 2018, Mikolas signed a two-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals. He had an impressive debut season, going 18-4 with a 2.83 ERA, 146 strikeouts, and only 29 walks in 200 2/3 innings pitched. He was named to the National League All-Star team and finished sixth in the NL Cy Young Award voting. Mikolas also helped lead the Cardinals to the NLCS that year. In 2019 and 2020, Mikolas dealt with multiple injuries that sidelined him for most of both seasons. However, he is expected to return to the Cardinals' rotation in 2021 and continue his promising career in baseball.
