Milt May Autographs
Milt May was born on August 1, 1950, in Gary, Indiana. He was a talented baseball player in his youth and was signed by the Houston Astros as an amateur free agent in 1968, straight out of high school. May made his debut in the Major Leagues with the Astros in 1970.
May played for 15 years in the Big Leagues with the Astros, Detroit Tigers, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Chicago White Sox. He was primarily a catcher and was known for his excellent defense behind the plate. May was also known for his hitting and was a consistent player throughout his career. He finished his career with a .263 batting average, 77 home runs, and 513 RBIs.
After retiring as a player, May became a coach and managed the Class A-Advanced Bakersfield Blaze and the Double-A San Antonio Missions in the Astros organization. He also served as a hitting instructor for various teams, including the Astros and the San Francisco Giants. May has made significant contributions to Major League Baseball and is a respected figure in the sport.
