Omar Vizquel is a former Venezuelan baseball player who played as a shortstop for various major league teams in the United States. Vizquel started his professional baseball career with the Mariners in 1989, and he played with them for 5 seasons. During his debut season, he demonstrated his excellent fielding skills and became a regular part of the team. He then moved on to play for the Cleveland Indians in 1994, where he played for 11 seasons. In 2018, Vizquel was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the sport. Since retiring from professional baseball, he has been involved in coaching, and he is currently the manager for the Toros de Tijuana in the Mexican Baseball League.
