Laureano spent two seasons in the minor leagues, where he impressed with his speed, defense, and ability to hit for power. He made his MLB debut on August 3rd, 2018, playing for the Oakland Athletics. In his first game, he hit a double and scored a run, setting the tone for what would be an impressive rookie season. In 2019, he was a finalist for a Gold Glove award for his exceptional play in center field.

Laureano continued to excel in the 2020 season, hitting .213 with six home runs and 25 RBIs in just 54 games. He also became known for his strong arm, making several highlight-reel throws from the outfield. He was awarded the Rawlings Gold Glove and ranked 13th in the American League MVP voting at the end of the season. Laureano has established himself as one of the top young players in baseball, and fans can expect to see even more great performances from him in the years to come.
