Roy Face was an American professional baseball player born on February 20, 1928, in Stephenson, Virginia. He played in Major League Baseball as a relief pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1953 to 1968. Face spent most of his career as a closer, and he was one of the best at his position in the 1950s and 1960s.
