Steve Sax played baseball during the 80s and 90s as a second baseman. He was born on January 29, 1960, in Sacramento, California. He played college baseball at Arizona State University before being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1978. Sax won two World Series championships with the Dodgers, the first of which was in 1981, his rookie season. He was considered one of the best second basemen in the National League in the mid-1980s, and his great defensive skills earned him the Gold Glove Award in 1986 and 1987.
