Glavine had a prolific twenty-two-year-long career in the league and was best known for his tenure with the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets. In 2003, Glavine was traded to the New York Mets and spent five seasons with the team. In 2007, he earned his 300th career victory, which made him one of only 24 pitchers in Major League Baseball history to reach that milestone. In 2010, Glavine retired from baseball with a career record of 305-203, a 3.54 ERA, and 2,607 strikeouts.
