Hafner was an outstanding hitter, and his career statistics prove it. He is widely regarded as one of the best designated hitters in MLB history, appearing in four All-Star games during his career. Known as "Pronk," a combination of "project" and "donkey" because of his powerful frame and powerful swing, Hafner was also one of the league's most feared power hitters. He hit 213 home runs with a .273 batting average and an OPS of .873, finishing his career with the New York Yankees in 2013, after 12 seasons with the Indians.

During his career, Hafner was the recipient of several awards, including the American League's Player and Rookie of the Month awards, the Hutch award, and the Edgar Martinez award. He also appeared in the postseason with the Indians in 2007, playing in the American League Championship Series. Hafner has cited that his abundance of injuries lowered his success rates in the field, leading to more playing time as a designated hitter. Nevertheless, he is considered one of the best in his position and one of the best players to have played for the Cleveland Indians. Read even more about Travis Hafner at Wikipedia
