Moryn joined the Cubs in 1954 and played with them for four years. In 1956, he had his best season, hitting .285 with 23 home runs and 87 RBIs. During his time with the Cubs, Moryn became known for his ability to rob opponents of home runs at Wrigley Field. He was traded to the Milwaukee Braves in 1958, where he played for one season before being traded to the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Cardinals for two seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1961. Moryn retired after the 1961 season with a career .256 batting average and 73 home runs.

After retiring from baseball, Moryn became a businessman and owned several successful businesses. Despite his success outside of baseball, Moryn remained passionate about the sport and was a regular attendee at Cubs alumni events. He died on June 20, 1996, at the age of 70. Moryn's career highlights include being named to the National League All-Star team in 1957 and his role in the Cubs' 1955 pennant-winning team.
