Armon Gilliam Autographs

Armon Gilliam was born on May 28, 1964, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He started playing basketball at an early age and attended Bethel Park High School, where he made a name for himself as a star player. He went on to play for the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Runnin' Rebels, where he was part of the team that won the NCAA Championship in 1986. Gilliam was a power forward, known for his exceptional rebounding and scoring skills.
After graduating from UNLV, Gilliam was drafted as the second overall pick in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. He played for several teams during his 13-year NBA career, including the Philadelphia 76ers, the New Jersey Nets, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Utah Jazz, and finally, the Charlotte Hornets. He was a consistent performer throughout his career, averaging 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Gilliam's best season was with the 76ers in 1990-91, when he averaged 15.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Gilliam's legacy in the NBA was not limited to his on-court performance. He was known as a leader and a role model for younger players. After retiring from the NBA in 2000, Gilliam continued to be involved in basketball as a coach and mentor. Tragically, Gilliam passed away on July 5, 2011, at the age of 47. However, his contribution to basketball and his impact on the lives of those he coached and mentored will not be forgotten.
