Kendrick Perkins Autographs
Kendrick Perkins was born on November 10, 1984, in Nederland, Texas. He played high school basketball at Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas. Perkins was considered one of the top centers in the country at the end of his high school career. He was heavily recruited by the top college basketball programs in the country before deciding to enter the NBA draft directly out of high school.
In 2003, Kendrick Perkins was selected 27th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Draft. He was then traded to the Boston Celtics, where he spent most of his NBA career. During his time with the Celtics, Perkins was instrumental in bringing the team to two NBA Finals and winning the championship in 2008. Perkins was known for his physical toughness and defensive prowess, frequently guarding some of the league's top big men. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2011, where he continued to play strong defense and rebounding in limited minutes off the bench.
Kendrick Perkins retired from professional basketball in 2019 after playing 15 seasons in the NBA. During his career, Perkins was known for his intense leadership, physical toughness, and commitment to his team's success. His contributions to the Boston Celtics' championship run in 2008 will always be remembered by fans, and his presence on the court will be missed by many.
